AFBO v. Lewis - Lewis challenged Florida's exclusion of faith-based charities from the its State Employee Charitable Campaign. State officials reached agreement with AFBO in a September 2006 mediation, agreeing to admit AFBO's members and amend the rules governing the campaign to protect the constitutional rights of religious organizations and prohibit discrimination in the program based on charities' religious viewpoints. You may read more in the attached Complaint filed by AFBO in May 2006 and the letter confirming that AFBO members Mission Aviation Fellowship, Association of Christian Schools International and Christian Legal Society would be admitted to the campaign.
